Memory Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company, is focused on developing innovative drugs for the treatment of debilitating central nervous system (CNS) disorders, many of which exhibit significant impairment of memory and other cognitive function. These conditions include neurological diseases associated with aging, such as Alzheimer's disease, and also include certain psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia.
We leverage our extensive knowledge of the neuronal pathways involved in memory formation and cognition to identify highly relevant targets. The entrepreneurial, interdisciplinary environment at Memory Pharmaceuticals enables our experts in molecular biology, CNS medicinal chemistry and preclinical drug development to work together from the outset of the discovery process and throughout the screening, identification and optimization of potential drug candidates. Advanced capabilities and in-house expertise in drug discovery and development have allowed us to generate a diverse pipeline of promising drug development programs.
Our History
Memory Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1998 and is based in Montvale, New Jersey. Everyday, our scientists are working to build upon the research of our scientific founder, Nobel Laureate, Dr. Eric Kandel, in order to address the major unmet medical needs associated with CNS disorders. In our laboratories, we are translating our in-depth understanding of memory, learning and cognition into potential therapeutics that we believe could address a broad range of CNS disorders that exhibit significant cognitive impairments.
